Frequently Asked Questions - Returns and Exchanges

Returns and Exchanges:

My aim is to deliver a quality item that you will be thrilled with as a buyer, and I do stand behind my work. However, I understand that there are cases in which the item needs to be returned or exchanged. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please notify me immediately to correct the problem. Returned items must be returned in unused condition, within 10 days of customer receipt of item in order to qualify for exchange. Buyer is responsible for shipping back item, and cannot be credited for initial shipping costs incurred by the seller.

All made to order items (custom) are made especially at your size and I cannot offer a refund on an item of this nature. If the item purchased was a ready to ship item (this will always be noted in the listing,) you are eligible for a full refund (minus shipping charge), if returned within 10 days of receipt in unused condition.

If you are unsatisfied with your made to order item, your item is eligible for exchange for another item in my store of equal or lesser value. If an item is determined to be unsatisfactory due to a craftsmanship issue, your item will be replaced, refunded, or repaired at no additional cost or shipping charge.

Repairs/Warranties:

I do stand behind my craftsmanship and will offer repair work on my pieces that encounter normal wear and tear, or are deemed defective due to maker issues.  Contact me for specific questions/issues, as most work is determined on a case by case basis.

Limited warranty covers my work for one year after purchase date. Everyday rings like wedding and engagement jewelry encounter normal wear and tear, and you will need to take special care to ensure the longevity of your metal investment. I advise to remove your ring before gardening and activities like rock climbing, water sports, etc. Just like your tires on your car, the metal on your rings will encounter wear and need to be checked from time to time. It is important to get your stones checked on occasion to have them tightened. Scratches are normal wear and tear, and are not considered a defect.

If you ever encounter a problem that is deemed to be a manufacturing defect, I will take care of the repair free of charge. Buyer is responsible for return shipping, but no additional fees apply. These defects are usually defined as breaking or cracked metal. Any damage incurred by normal wear and tear, or as a result of buyer mishaps are not the responsibility of the maker. (Mishaps=dropping your ring, car accidents, etc- NOT covered under warranty).   If a repair of normal wear and tear takes place, I will only charge for time/labor and materials. This will vary case by case, but be very reasonable.

My warranty does NOT cover theft, loss or damage, or mysterious loss. Only loss of gemstones in the original work that have passed inspection, are covered by this limited warranty.

TIP: Did you know that you can add all fine jewelry to a homeowners or renters policy? It is even possible to get a specialized jewelry insurance like Jewelers Mutual Insurance, which covers against loss, damage, or theft at a reasonable price.   (https://www.jewelersmutual.com/) An appraisal may have to be provided in order to get an insurance quote. Please message me if you are interested in doing so BEFORE we make your ring for the most accurate appraisal.
