Can I get custom and personalized orders?
Yes! Please message me before your purchase to ensure your specialized details can be accommodated in a timely manner. All details are a case by case basis.
Custom Orders are NOT refundable- as I cannot restock or resell your item. Pleas be advised.
Sizing details? I don’t know where to start…
Your best insurance for a good fit is to be sized in person by a professional jewelry store, which will gladly do so for free. If you are looking at gold rings, I would recommend being sized by more than one store before purchase.
I offer a simple ring sizer to get an idea of your size: Send me a message to get a FREE ring sizing kit sent to you, which matches my tools.
• OVERALL>>> If you MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR EXACT RING SIZE BEFORE PURCHASE, IT IS A HUGE HELP.
What if I still don’t know my partner’s size… It is a surprise!
This happens! I would say there are 2 best strategies:
Option 1) If you have time on your side- see if you can get a close friend or family member to take them “ring shopping” with them. While there are there getting sized and checking out rings, your partner can get sized just for fun too. This is the super secret way to obtain a size!
Option 2) If you have to guess- generally speaking it is advised to guess just a touch larger. It is usually easier to size a ring down than up in a lot of cases.
Ring Resizing
If you buy a ring at a size from me and discover it does not fit you correctly as a result of the customer not knowing their exact size...
I can resize most, but not all rings depending on how much it needs to change. In some cases I have to remake the ring.
Silver Items (Under $500)
Because of the work involved, price for a re-sizing varies between $30-75 on average. The buyer will cover the cost of sending back the ring to have it re-sized and the cost to re-send it back to the customer. Please contact me for an estimate, and time estimate on a re-size of your ring. (Price includes return shipping, buyer pays shipping to my studio).
Gold Items (Over $500)
In most cases, I will do a simple re-size for free. This includes re-sizing a ring up or down within 1/2 size. Restrictions may apply. Past ¼ size, I do need to quote you, as in some cases a remake is the best option. Gold sizings can cost $75-$350, but I will always quote you in advance. Please insure any item you ship back to my studio, and package the item really well (no sounds or knocking around should be present, all sides of boxes taped really well).
Ring Resizing on a tight timeline...
I occasionally have customers who purchase a ring, then once they receive it find out they need a different size with their wedding date only a few days away. It can take me up to 21 business days to re-size a simple men's band because there are many customers in the queue waiting for items. A re-size goes to the back of the queue in order to fulfill demand. Contact me about emergencies or rush orders.
* AS AN OPTION, IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET A LOCAL JEWELRY STORE TO RE-SIZE YOUR RING. Most professional jewelry stores should be able to accommodate a simple ring re-size in a reasonable amount of time. Prices vary by jewelry store and metals in the ring. Craftsmanship of local jewelry stores cannot be guaranteed.
What are the origins of your gemstones?
Whenever possible, I work with gemstones that either lab created, recycled, or come with a very strict fair mining protocol. All metals used are recycled metals- either from the leading manufacturers in producing recycled fine metals and gold, or from casters using grain that is refined from vintage jewelry to create new gold alloys. Every piece I make is one I want you to be proud to wear, and have a great story to tell!
As the gemstone industry is a profit driven trade, often dealers will not disclose this information unless pressed by the buyer. I will never claim a stone to be fair trade or sustainable if I don't have proof from the dealer/manufacturer.
Can you use customer metal for a project?
I cannot use your metal to create a ring. My metal supplier works with refineries to melt metal down to it's pure constituents and alloy it into the metals you see in my store.
Meet the maker at their studio?
Clients can make appointments with the shop owner if there are specific needs to be met. As most jewelry is custom made to order in your size, prior notice of items of interest are a huge help.
As I am very busy filling orders and trying to grow my business, I can only meet with clients who are 80%+ committed to getting and item with me.
Studio is located in Paonia, CO.
Diamonds and Gemstones from a customer?
In many cases, I would rather use my own stones to offer you new/certified material for the best possible product.
In some cases, I can offer you one of my designs with a client stone. This will be considered on a case by case basis. Due to the nature of stonesetting, there is a risk of chipping/damaging a stone during the process. Store owner is not responsible for damage done to stone during this process, as only a gemologist would be able to fully know the cracks, fissures, and inconsistencies of any stone. Store owner is not responsible for insuring stones during shipment, and is not responsible for lost or stolen items during shipment to owner.
Please message before purchase if you are serious about a commission.
